Investigation – Arson Arrest

The search of a property north of Kingston for evidence in 22 year old missing person case has resulted in charges against a man from Sydenham.

Police were searching the property for evidence in the case of Gord Cameron.

During the search they turned up evidence that led to the arrest last Thursday of 48 year old David Cameron on charges relating to a house fire on North Shore Road in May of 2010.  Cameron has been charged with Arson with Disregard for Human Life…Arson for Fraudulent Purposes and Possession of Proceeds of Crime.

Investigators aren’t saying if he’s connected to the missing man.

The Canadian Forces Strategic Response Team on Sexual Misconduct will conduct town hall meetings at the Royal Military College of Canada in September.

All cadets and staff at RMC will be required to attend the sessions.

Watering Restrictions

Watering restrictions go into effect today in Kingston.

Residents with odd-numbered addresses are allowed to water on odd-numbered days and those with even numbered addresses on even-numbered days.

So, if your street number ends with a 1,3,5,7 or nine – you can use the hose and turn on the tap today.

You’re only allowed to use a sprinkler between 5am and 10am and the watering restrictions aren’t just for watering your lawn.

You’re not allowed to legally use any water from that tap outside your house when it is not your day.

The restrictions are in place until September 15th.
