Solar-powered planes are the future? Time to start thinking.

In March 2015 a solar-power plane set out to go around the world without using ANY airplane fuel.

They flew 40,000 kilometres, on energy gathered from 17,248 solar panels, while it flew to India, Japan, China, Italy, Spain, Hawaii, San Francisco, and tons of other places too!

The downside is, it tops off at 90 miles per hour… so the technology for a commercial flight may need an up in the ampage…. but when you consider that they flew 5,5000 miles from Japan to Hawaii non-stop… at 90 mph. That’s a lot of potential.

Damn impressive.
