It’s a hilariously quaint celebration for Statistics Canada.

98.4% of the census population filled out the long-and-short-form questionnaires for 2016, which included a 97.8% for the long-form.

While it’s illegal not to fill-out the census, it’s still the highest response rate since 1666.

This may seem pretty boring. But let’s face it, it’s pretty Canadian of us to be proud of a “census” report.

I’d just like to picture everyone at Statistics Canada throwing a raging party to celebrate the success rate.
