As movie theater chains try to come up with new and exciting ways to enhance the moviegoing experience, one of the most intriguing entrepreneurial efforts around is actually more of a throwback. According to Variety, Nashville’s planned August Moon Drive-In will be a giant indoor replica of a ’60s drive-in movie theater. Slated to open in 2018, the 40,000-square-foot, domed August Moon will feature a simulated starry sky, seating in modified classic cars and a menu of artisanal comfort foods–as well as a full bar.
