Green Day has announced a new, career-spanning best-of collection titled Greatest Hits: God’s Favorite Band. The 22-track compilation will be released on November 17.
God’s Favorite Band features 20 of Green Day’s biggest hits, plus a brand-new song titled “Back in the USA,” and a new version of the song “Ordinary World,” featuring country star Miranda Lambert. Billie Joe Armstrong previously performed with Lambert at the 2014 Grammys.
The title of the album is a reference to Green Day’s performance on The Late Show earlier this year. Before they took the stage, host Stephen Colbert was interrupted by the appearance of “God,” an animated likeness complete with a flowing white beard and robes, who introduced the punk trio as “God’s favorite band.”
Green Day recently wrapped a U.S. tour in support of their new album, Revolution Radio. The band will travel to South America in November.
