WATCH: Metallica covers ABBA's "Dancing Queen" in Stockholm, and ROCK it!

Metallica has a rather original way of honoring the cities they visit on tour…

Throughout their European WorldWired tour, they’ve been setting aside time each show for what they call “Doodles.”

Basically, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo will take centre stage and perform a song from a local music hero.

This has included covering Europe (the band), The Scorpions, Oasis…and now ABBA!

During their show in Stockholm on Monday night, the band covered what many of us consider a guilty pleasure – the disco/pop sensation “Dancing Queen”

If that isn’t enough, their cover of Europes “The Final Countdown” is one of the greatest things I’ve seen in my life.

Of course, Metallica aren’t the first hard rockers to take on the EuroVision winners…our own Headstones tried their hand at “SOS” a few years ago.
