A week ago Netflix announced they were cancelling Iron Fist after its second season and now Luke Cage is being cancelled as well!

Netflix and Marvel released a statement saying, “Unfortunately, Marvel’s Luke Cage will not return for a third season. Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is grateful to the dedicated showrunner, writers, cast and crew who brought Harlem’s Hero to life for the past two seasons, and to all the fans who have supported the series.”

Mustafa Shakir, who played John McIver-Slash-Bushmaster in Luke Cage Season two isn’t happy the show is cancelled.

He posted a photo of his character with the caption, “hey cancelled LC and well, I got a little upset. I’ll be ok guys….But they might not be!!! ???????? #mewe #impissed #rawwwr #lukecage”

But remember – Disney is releasing their own streaming service next year and they’re adding original Marvel-based shows…so Iron Fist and Luke Cage could make a comeback on Disney’s streaming service…but we’ll just have to wait and see!
