Jimmy Page has lost another planning battle with a neighbor over proposed construction near his Tower House home.

Page took action against his businessman neighbour Sir Harvey McGrath, who is planning to build three 20-foot wooden trellises in his backyard.

Page felt the construction would have a “harmful impact” on the neighborhood’s historic appeal and would also intrude on his ability to work on audio-based projects at his home.

But the council’s planning director dismissed the objection, saying “Given that there are many examples of timber trellises within the vicinity, the proposed works would preserve the character and the appearance of the property. … There would be no material effect upon the external appearance of the neighboring Grade I listed building, or its setting, its structural integrity, or its special historic interest.”
