Mark Hoppus of blink-182 revealed that he has been diagnosed with cancer in a new Twitter post on Wednesday night.

“For the past three months I’ve been undergoing chemotherapy for cancer,” he writes. “I have cancer. It sucks and I’m scared,” Hoppus stated, before including how thankful he is for his doctors and the support of his family.

Hoppus and fellow blink-182 bandmates were planning on releasing a new album this year, as confirmed by Travis Barker. The singer did not include details of his cancer diagnosis but he did say that he is staying hopeful and is looking forward to playing concerts again for fans. The tweet was met with a tremendous outpouring of support from fans and Hoppus’ fellow musicians.
