COVID-19 in KFL&A

The number of Covid-19 cases in Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington is now 55.

There were two new cases reported in KFL&A, over the long weekend.

Medical Officer of Health Dr. Kieran Moore says he is confident the numbers for our region are accurate.

Moore is urging people to continue to self-isolate to slow the spread of the virus.

 

COVID-19 in Ontario

Ontario reported 401 new cases, over the long weekend.

The provincial total is now over 7,000

However, officials are saying they are seeing a “downward trend” in the number of cases in the province, over the past few days.

 

 

Ontario Job Losses

Premier Doug Ford says there were over 400,000 jobs lost, last month.

Ford described it as a “gut punch” for the province of Ontario.

He added the latest numbers from Stats Canada prove Covid-19 is both a public health and economic crisis.

 

 

Missing Man

Kingston Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 63-year-old man

Stephen Kent was last seen on April 4th.

He is described as white, 5’10”, 190lbs with brown hair and a mustache.

It’s possible that he could be in the Kingston, Trenton or Belleville areas.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts are asked to contact police.

 

Garbage Collection

Garbage collection will be a day later than usual, this week.

Due to the Easter holiday, if your pickup is usually Thursday, it will be picked up on Friday this week.
