Vehicle in Lake

The investigation into the death of a 35 year old Kingston man in a vehicle that went into Lake Ontario is continuing.

Jesse Dixon died early Friday morning.  His body was recovered from the vehicle by police divers on Friday afternoon.

The man was identified on a GoFundMe page to raise money for the Dixon family.

The Special Investigations Unit has taken over the investigation of Dixon’s death because it involves Kingston Police who had been called to a home in the city’s west end early Friday morning.  A person of interest drove past the residence and an officer began a pursuit, but it was called off.  A short time later an SUV went through the intersection at County Road 6 and into Lake Ontario.
