Marine Museum – Council Meeting

The Marine Museum of the Great Lakes will be moving to the Portsmouth Olympic Harbour and the Alexander Henry will be towed to a dock in Picton.

Kingston City Council approved the plan in a unanimous vote at a special meeting last night.

The museum couldn’t negotiate an agreement with the new owner of the property where its located.

Staff will report back to city council in ten months on whether the Alexander Henry can be sunk to create an artificial dive reef…if not…it will be disposed of by Doornekamp Construction…the owner of the dock in Picton.

Big Dig Four is the next phase of Princess Street reconstruction.  It will take place between Clergy and Division Streets…but no date has been set to begin that project.
