Ticket Sales

Ontario’s attorney general is asking the public to provide feedback on legislation on ticket resellers he has promised for the last five months.

Yassir Naqvi and Kingston and the Islands MPP Sophie Kiwala held a news conference yesterday and asked for more feedback.

The NDP says the province helped create the problem when it changed legislation to make it legal to resell tickets above their face value.

The Conservatives say the government is moving too slowly.

Kiwala introduced a private members bill last fall after an outcry from fans shutout from buying tickets to the last tour by The Tragically Hip.

Online ticket exchange and resale company StubHub says it looks forward to working with the government on the issue.

Goat Farmer

The information sessions will take place March 23rd at the county offices in Glenburnie.

Venue: County of Frontenac offices, 2069 Battersea Road, Glenburnie
